A BIG CHECK FOR THE BLUE MASQUES - COME SEE "THE WIZ" THIS SPRING!
(January 30, 2014 – Riverhead, NY) On Saturday, November 16th, from 11-3, the Riverhead High School Blue Masques hosted their second "Driven to Give" Fund-raiser in conjunction with Riverhead Ford/Lincoln. For every car test driven, Riverhead Ford/Lincoln agreed to donate $20 to the Blue Masques Drama Club. There were no strings attached. You just needed to be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
“Help us reach the Emerald City as we prepare for our spring musical, THE WIZ,” was the plea from Blue Masques directors Dena Tishim and Jessica Guadagnino. And help you did! On Thursday, January 30, Riverhead Ford-Lincoln General Manager Tom Williams delivered a BIG CHECK to Riverhead High School. Last year’s “Driven to Give” fund-raiser netted the Blue Masques $2,000. This year’s event almost doubled that amount with Mr. Williams presenting a check for $3,620.00 to the school! “We are very thankful to Mr. Williams and Riverhead Ford-Lincoln,” stated Ms. Tishim. “This money will go a long way to helping us cover our expenses for our spring production of THE WIZ.” “We also want to thank everyone who came out to test drive a Lincoln,” stated Ms. Guadagnino. “We are already planning another ‘Driven to Give’ fund-raiser for the spring. Watch for more information and please come see THE WIZ.” Photo Caption #1: L-R: RHS Principal Charles Regan, four members of the Blue Masques, Tom Williams (General Manager of Riverhead Ford-Lincoln), Directors Dena Tishim and Jessica Guadagnino, and Assistant Principal Sean O’Hara. |
